To Grandma Božena Němcová in Ratibořice

Characters familiar from the book Grandma by writer Božena Němcová will welcome you in the places where the novel takes place. During a visit to the castle, you will encounter the conceited valet Leopold, greet the noble princess and her lovely ward, Countess Hortenzia. At the mill, you will be greeted by a cheerful miller with his mistress, the miller, and a group of children from Ratibořice with their games, songs, and nursery rhymes. At Staré bélidl, you will be delighted to meet a kind grandmother and her grandchildren.

Organized by the castle administration in cooperation with the folklore ensemble Barunka from Česká Skalice.
