96th Jirásek Hronov 2026 – Amateur Theatre Festival

Amateur Theatre Festival with International Participation in Hronov. This is a nationwide amateur theatre festival with international participation. This year it will take place from 31 July to 8 August 2026, it is already the 96th year. The main program of the festival will take place in the premises of the Jirásek Theatre, the Josef Čapek Hall, Sokolovna, and in the premises of the WIKOV arena (winter stadium) in the Black box, which proved to be a novelty last year. The free program will then take place in the square, on two stages in the A. Jirásek Park and, newly, in the courtyard of the Parish Church of All Saints.

The main program features non-professional ensembles that have passed the so-called screening process.

As part of the accompanying program, more than 70 concerts and theater performances will take place during the festival, including fairy tales for all ages.
