During the international folklore festival in Červený Kostelec, you can enjoy the beauty of folk songs, dances and costumes not only from home but also from abroad. Every year, you can see exotic ensembles from faraway Asia, South America, Africa and Australia at the festival.
The International Folklore Festival Červený Kostelec takes place every year in the second half of August in the beautiful natural surroundings of the J. K. Tyl Theatre. Over five days, almost 600 dancers and musicians from around 16–20 folklore ensembles from all over the world will present themselves to the audience in fifteen colorful program blocks. This year, you can look forward to ensembles from Argentina, Ecuador, Belgium, Scotland, Lithuania, Macedonia, Turkey, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
The program in the amphitheater is usually attended by thousands of people, and thousands of spectators also watch the parade and performances of the ensembles in various parts of the city and the region. The evening program blogs are concluded with dance entertainment for the general public, during which the performers and the audience meet on the dance floor.
