The fifth meeting promoting cross-border cooperation, carried out within the project "Together we create the Euroregion"

On June 10, 2025, the fifth meeting promoting cross-border cooperation was held in the Krzywa Hall of the Książ Castle, carried out as part of the "Together we create the Euroregion" project.

On June 10, 2025, the penultimate meeting promoting cross-border cooperation, implemented as part of the project "Together we create the Euroregion", took place on the Polish side.

Representatives of local governments, organizations and institutions of the Wałbrzych district and guests from the Czech Republic met in the Crooked Hall of the Książ Castle in Wałbrzych - representatives of Czech organizations cooperating with Polish partners in cross-border projects.

The meeting was inaugurated by Bernadeta Tambor - director of the Office of the Association of Polish Communes of the Glacensis Euroregion, secretary of the Polish part of the Glacensis Euroregion, and Dorota Karolewska, president of the Książ Castle. The participants were presented with the goals of the project and its sources of financing, after which they were invited to share their experiences related to cross-border cooperation.
Examples of joint initiatives implemented in the cities and communes of the Wałbrzych district were presented by:
• Magdalena Suchomska-Niemiec from Public Primary School No. 6 in Wałbrzych,
• Iwona Wybierak from the City Office in Wałbrzych,
• Alicja Dziachan and Angelika Niedziela from Public Primary School No. 15 in Wałbrzych,
• Katarzyna Matuła from Książ Castle,
• Sabina Jelewska from the Cultural Center in Jedlina-Zdrój,
• Marek Nogawka from the Wałbrzych Forest District,
• Katarzyna Łazanowska from the Głuszyca Commune.
The speakers presented their experiences and talked about the benefits of cross-border cooperation, especially from the perspective of long-term involvement in the implementation of Polish-Czech projects. After the presentation part, the participants went on a study walk, led by Katarzyna Matuła, during which they got to know the results of Polish-Czech projects implemented in the Książ Castle area as part of the INTERREG Programme.
