Meeting promoting cross-border cooperation in Dzierżoniów
On May 12, 2025, the third in a series of meetings promoting cross-border cooperation as part of the "Together we create the Euroregion" project took place in the Concert Hall of the Dzierżoniów Cultural Center.
The event was attended by representatives of municipalities and institutions from the Dzierżoniów District, representatives of the district government, as well as partners from the Czech Republic - representatives of organizations cooperating with Polish institutions as part of cross-border projects.
The gathered guests were welcomed by:
- Bernadeta Tambor - Director of the SGPEG Office, Secretary of the Association of Polish Municipalities of the Glacensis Euroregion
- Dariusz Kucharski - Mayor of Dzierżoniów
- Grzegorz Kosowski - District Governor of Dzierżoniów
During the meeting, examples of joint, cross-border initiatives implemented in the cities and municipalities of Dzierżoniów District were presented. Participants shared their experiences related to the implementation of Polish-Czech projects. The following spoke about selected projects:
- Małgorzata Sagan – Deputy Mayor of Pieszyce
- Łukasz Masyk – Head of the Promotion, Culture, Sports and Tourism Office of the District Office in Dzierżoniów
- Danuta Zaręba, Principal of the K.K. Baczyński Elementary School in Piława Górna
- Barbara Mazur, Principal of the Tęczowa Kraina Kindergarten in Piława Górna
- Dariusz Kucharski – Mayor of Dzierżoniów
After the presentation part, the participants went on a walk around the city, led by Magdalena Zalewska from the Dzierżoniów City Office. During the walk, the investments implemented by, among others, as part of cross-border cooperation, including:
- the Diora–Tesla route
- the restored tower of the City Hall
- the restored Sadebec Chapel
- the baroque portals at the Municipal Museum in Dzierżoniów
The walk ended with a visit to the Municipal Museum, which is a valuable element of the cultural heritage of the region.
