Joint meeting of members of the Glacensis Euroregion in Meziměstí
On April 29, 2025, a joint Czech-Polish meeting of the members of the Glacensis Euroregion was held at the Walzel Center in Meziměstí. The participants and invited guests were welcomed by Mr. Miroslav Wagner – Vice President of the Czech part of the Glacensis Euroregion and Mr. Czesław Kręcichwost – President of the Board of the Association of Polish Municipalities of the Glacensis Euroregion.
As part of the meeting, two discussion panels were organized, divided into national parts.
The first panel was devoted to issues related to the future of the EU cohesion policy after 2027. The moderator of the panel was Jaroslav Štefek, Secretary of the Czech part of the Glacensis Euroregion. The discussion was attended by:
Mgr. Miroslav Daněk – representative of the Ministry of Local Development of the Czech Republic
Mgr. Zdeněk Semorád – representative of the Association of Countries of the Czech Republic
Mgr. Ondřej Havlíček – member of the Association of Euroregions of the Czech Republic
Panel II – “Priorities of the Polish Presidency of the European Union”
The second panel concerned the priorities of the Polish Presidency of the EU and was led by Bernadeta Tambor, Secretary of the Polish part of the Glacensis Euroregion. The experts invited to the discussion were:
Jacek Wasik – Acting Director of the European Parliament Office in Wrocław
Krzysztof Jarząb – Representative of the European Commission, Regional Representation in Poland
Andrzej Kosior – Head of the Strategic Management, Ownership Supervision, European Funds and Economic Development Office of the City of Wałbrzych
The meeting was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and deepen cooperation between Polish and Czech members of the Glacensis Euroregion. Participants also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the current directions of the EU cohesion policy after 2027 and the priorities of activities within the Polish Presidency of the European Union.
