Together we create the Euroregion – a meeting promoting cross-border cooperation in Złoty Stok

On April 14, 2025, the second meeting in the series promoting cross-border cooperation as part of the “Together we create the Euroregion” project took place in the renovated EWANGELIK Cultural and Tourist Center in Złoty Stok.

The event was attended by representatives of the member municipalities of the Glacensis Euroregion and non-governmental organizations from Poland and the Czech Republic.

The participants were warmly welcomed by:

  • Bernadeta Tambor – secretary of the Polish part of the Glacensis Euroregion, director of the office of the Association of Polish Municipalities of the Glacensis Euroregion,
  • Miroslav Vágner – Vice-President of the Pomezí Čech, Moravy a Kladska Euroregion – Glacensis Euroregion.

During the meeting, good practices and examples of joint cross-border initiatives implemented in cities and municipalities of the Ząbkowice District were presented. The following people shared their experiences:

  • Grażyna Orczyk, Mayor of Złoty Stok,
  • Norbert Kochanek, Bardo City and Commune Office,
  • Maciej Michalski, Ząbkowice Śląskie City Office,
  • Bożena Wójcicka, Ząbkowice Culture and Tourism Centre,
  • Emilia Pawnuk, President of the Srebrna Góra Fortress.

After the presentation, the participants went on a walk around Złoty Stok, led by Patrycja Kucharek from the Tourist Information Centre. They visited, among others:

  • the restored tower of the EWANGELIK Cultural and Tourist Centre,
  • the Złotostok Gwarków Trail,
  • the Municipal Tourist Route with the Guttlers' Mausoleum,
  • cycloboxes at the connecting bicycle path.

The walk ended with a unique attraction – a ride in a replica of an early 20th-century Ford Buick around the centre of Złoty Stok.

The event was an excellent opportunity to promote cross-border cooperation, exchange experiences, establish new contacts and build lasting, good-neighbourly relations within the Glacensis Euroregion.
