On March 27, 2025, the first of a series of meetings promoting cross-border cooperation within the project "Together we create the Euroregion" took place in the Reading Room of the Municipal Public Library in Nowa Ruda.

The event was attended by numerous representatives from Poland and the Czech Republic - both previous beneficiaries of the Small Projects Fund and entities interested in establishing cooperation for the development of the Polish-Czech border.

The gathered were welcomed by the hosts of the Nowa Ruda-Broumov region: Mr. Tomasz Kiliński - Mayor of Nowa Ruda and Mr. Arnold Vodochodský - Starost of Broumov.

The meeting was an opportunity to exchange experiences in the implementation of Polish-Czech projects and to present cross-border projects implemented in the municipalities and units of the participants. The speakers included:
• Mr. Marek Kusiakiewicz – Municipal Centre for Culture, Tourism and Sports in Radków,
• Ms. Natalia Gancarz – Centre for Education, Tourism and Culture in Stronie Śląskie,
• Ms. Katarzyna Bernasińska – Międzylesie Commune, • Mr. Jacek Kowalczyk – Kudowa-Zdrój Commune,
• Mr. Krzysztof Chilarski – Director of the Museum of Folk Culture of the Sudety Foothills,
• Mr. Bartłomiej Jakubowski – Stołowe Mountains National Park,
• Mr. Przemysław Herter – City of Nowa Ruda.

After a short break, the participants of the meeting, together with Mr. Sławomir Drogoś, Director of the Municipal Public Library, went to the Museum of Printing and Polygraphy, which was established thanks to the implementation of the micro project. After visiting the museum and the exhibition, the participants took part in a study walk around Nowa Ruda, led by Ms. Elżbieta Bisikiewicz from the Nowa Ruda Tourist Information. The walk included a presentation of investments implemented thanks to cross-border cooperation, such as: educational paths, walking trails, an outdoor cinema at the Municipal Cultural Centre, a revitalized park in which a symbolic place of Polish-Czech friendship was created - a set of trees planted by 18 project partners from Poland and the Czech Republic.

The next meeting will take place on April 14 this year in Złoty Stok.
