A decade has passed since Lower Silesia became the hero of the world media. In 2015, all of Poland – and beyond – followed with bated breath the reports of the possible discovery of the legendary “Golden Train” near Książ Castle. The sensational story that fired up the imagination of thousands of people is coming back... in a festival version!

On August 2 and 3, 2025, we invite you to the 5th Summer Festival of Mysteries, which this year is titled: “The Golden Train – 10 Years Later”. This is a unique opportunity to return to the events that electrified the entire country – and discover them anew, among the castle corridors and basements full of secrets.
Staging, experts and a return to the past
The most important point of the program will be the spectacular staging of the loading of the Golden Train, realized in the original tunnels under the castle. Thanks to costumes, special effects and the involvement of reenactors, we will be transported to the last days of World War II. The Ballroom will host meetings with historians, explorers and popularizers of history, and Piotr Koper himself will be among the guests – the co-discoverer of the mysterious find from a decade ago, who will reveal the secrets of the search that the whole world has been talking about.

Little Searchers' Zone – fun and learning in one
For the youngest guests, we have prepared a special Little Searchers' Zone – full of puzzles, workshops, treasure maps and train models. Thanks to cooperation with Majsterkowo Castorama, children will be able to create something with their own hands, and also… discover treasures in the sandbox! This is a perfect combination of fun and education.

History, ground-penetrating radars and ghosts
On the first floor of the castle, you will be able to see a unique exhibition: "Golden Train 2015 – a decade of searching", presenting photos and recordings from the time of the "gold rush" in Wałbrzych. For the more inquisitive, we have prepared the PRO Zone, where you will be able to learn the secrets of treasure hunting - from the operation of ground-penetrating radars to the presentation of specialist equipment. There will also be a unique exhibition of historic railway lamps.

Evening with ghosts and the Amber Room
In the evening of August 2, we invite you to an unforgettable night tour with ghosts - in two versions: family (until 9:00 p.m.) and a slightly darker one - for adults. The scenarios "Train for ghosts" and "Ghost train" guarantee a thrill in the scenery of the night Książ. In the castle halls you will also see the reconstruction of the Amber Room - one of the greatest mysteries of Europe, equal to the legend of the Golden Train. The brave can also visit the castle's undergrounds, carved 50 meters underground - five stations and a raw, stone route full of history and secrets.
