1st Festival of Mines and Geology – Discover the Underground World On 25–26 July 2025, the 1st Festival of Mines and Geology will take place in Nowa Ruda, a unique event for lovers of adventure, geology, history and family entertainment. The host of the festival is the Former Mine in Nowa Ruda, which invites you to discover the fascinating world of underground and minerals. Lots of attractions, unforgettable experiences The festival is a true celebration of science and fun. The program will include: Visiting mines and adits, such as: Former Nowa Ruda Mine Nickel and Chrysoprase Mine Uranium Mine in Kletno Historic Silver Mine Queen Luiza Adit Guido Mine Old Mine in Wałbrzych Radochowska Cave Additional attractions for entire families, including: Initiation ceremony for miners Paintball and archery range Concerts Geological lectures and meetings with artists (including "Leon's Expeditions") Competitions, face painting with coal, educational workshops Gastronomic and geological zone Geological trips to slag heaps Stand of the winner of the silver medal in the Dakar Rally! Education through play - for children, youth and adults The festival combines educational, tourist and entertainment values. Participants will be able to take part in lectures given by geologists, explorers and travellers, as well as learn about the work of a miner first-hand.
